Saab gets funds from North Street Capital
Last week we had Saab and their Chinese ‘backers’ getting in a bit of a muddle over funding. Which is what we’ve come to expect. Saab were adamant that the quote attributed to the Pangda Chairman that the Saab deal was no longer valid was a ‘misunderstanding’.
Tease for the 2012 Lexus RX 450h Facelift
The 2012 Lexus RX 450h facelift – and the RX 450h F Sport – will debut at Geneva 2012 before going on sale in the summer. Last month we reported that the 2012 Lexus RX 450h is on its way – together with an F Sport version – after scans from a JDM Lexus brochure leaked out. And now we’ll get the chance to see the new RX 450h at Geneva next week.
The 2013 Ford Mondeo will come as a regular five door and estate but there will also be a four wheel diesel and a hybrid option. We’ve already reported that the new Mondeo will get the 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine as an option – the first time any car in the D Segment has had such a small engine – but there’s more to the new Mondeo than just a headline little engine and an Aston Martin grill. As well as the frugal EcoBoost engine, Ford will also be launching their first hybrid in Europe with a Mondeo Hybrid boasting a 2.0-litre petrol engine with a 35kW lithium-ion battery to trim official emissions and consumption as much as possible.
